Can I claim compensation?
Colorado Law does allow for a person injured recoup a wide range of losses and expense, but rather than make generalizations let's discuss your individual matter!
What is the deadline for filing a claim?
In general, the statute of limitations is two years, from the date you learn you are injured or have been harmed by a physician. For example, a man, Jon Doe had surgery on his back five years ago, but did not discover until last week that his surgeon left a sponge inside of him; the statute of limitations would start when the Jon Doe is told he has the sponge in his back, not from the five years prior.
The gentleman would have two (2) years from being informed about the sponge to contact an attorney or file a lawsuit himself.
